I currently use the Deublin Rotating Union, teflon bearing, 3/4" mpt x 3/4"fpt (Windtrax part # 21-060-101) on my IBA's. Low speed use, on top of the trolley and in the center hub which connects the pipe to the trolley. I've noticed that since I've gone to using a low PH presoak on my top two packages that my unions wear out much quicker. It seems to be fine on the high pressure application, but the low pressure presoaks just foams out of the union like a foaming brush.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a different union to use which will last longer? Currently I'm lucky to get a couple months out of these before I have to change them. At $100 each, that can be cost prohibitive.
I see Windtrax offers another rotating union (Fluid Controls Tru-Turn Swivel part # SW580ASS-MF-3/4) and was curious if this would be a better one to use? It's nearly twice the cost of a Deublin, but if I can get 6 months to a year out of it, I'd be happy.
