Should I add multiple bags and really FILL my brine tank on the softener or add a bag or 2 at a time or does it 'matter not'?

Thanks!!!!

ps; began checking a few more places for pricing and glad I did cause I found it cheaper!!!

My water softener guy told me the salt should always be kept above the water line in the brine tank. Don't remember why.

You want the salt to completely cover the water because the softener uses all the water for each brine cycle. If it hasn't dissolved all the salt it can, the softening capacity is reduced.
